FAQs

  • Start by scheduling a free 15 minute consultation first to see if we'd be a good fit! The consult is a space to ask questions and address any concerns you may have.
If we recognize we're a good fit, information needed to schedule an appointment will be provided. :)

  • Sessions are typically 53-55 minutes!

I recommend scheduling weekly or every other week at the beginning so we can build a therapeutic relationship. However, you're always in control of when you want to schedule.

  • I offer sessions via a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform for teens and adults residing anywhere in Texas. I also offer "Walk-and-Talk" sessions for teens & adults residing in Austin, TX.

Walk and Talk sessions are sessions that take place in nature.

  • I offer sessions on:

    • Mondays from 1pm-7pm

    • Tuesdays through Thursdays from 9:30am-12:30pm

I'm not restricted to the times listed above - if you're needing alternate availability, please let me know and I'm happy to try & accommodate.

  • Individual Therapy:

Range from $130 to $175 for 53+ minute session.

-I welcome you to reflect on your finances and choose how much you're genuinely able to pay for therapy :)

**$25 add on for walk-and-talk sessions due to time and driving.

-If you’re needing an alternative cost for session, please let me know.

    $255 for 80 minute session.

  • In first sessions, I briefly go over practice policies and then ask individuals what brought them to therapy, what they want to heal & develop, and what they're needing from their therapist to feel safe.
Afterwards, you get to choose what you're needing/wanting to explore & process; I'm more than able to provide suggestions as well.

  • I encourage clients to cancel appointments 24 hours in advance. However, I understand that life happens and we aren't given a notice; in these cases, just let me know what you're experiencing and we can go from there.

There are situations in which I charge for no-shows & late cancellations; I will let you know during consultations and/or first sessions when these apply.

  • Yes. I’m currently in network in Aetna and Cigna (through Alma). I also offer superbills for OON insurance reimbursement.

  • I do not provide crisis counseling services.  If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, you can call Integral Care’s 24/7 crisis line at 512-472-4357 or the national crisis lifeline at 9-8-8.

  • In compliance with the No Surprises Act that went into effect January 1, 2022, I am required to notify all healthcare consumers of your Federal rights and protections against “surprise billing”. Please message me for more information about the Good Faith Estimate (GFE) and/or if you want to request one.

  • I understand that I'm not a good fit for everyone and I hope you get the support you need!

About Neha Mambapoor

  • Founder of Mano Balam Mental Health, PLLC
Hi! I'm Neha, a 2nd Generation South Asian/Indian Womxn, a professional dancer, a creative, and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. I earned my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Houston - Main Campus in May 2020 and have been providing therapy since August 2019. I have experience working in private practice settings and in supporting a diverse population of individuals as they navigate different challenges.

My intention as a healer is to support and guide individuals on their unique healing journey and in integrating their whole selves. I don’t have one specific therapeutic modality I utilize during session but it’s usually a mix of talk therapy, body awareness, mindfulness, grounding techniques, and suggestions for post-session creativity/creating. I also recommend body & energy healers to further aid individuals in healing the whole self. I ultimately hope that the work we do helps individuals trust themselves and others either again or for the first time - it’s hard out there without community and healthy relationships.

When I’m not providing therapy, I like to dance, create, be a lil water bb (ie swim), heal my inner child & shadow self, spend time with family & friends, learn whatever is intriguing me at the time, and explore. I also just started practicing Sangeetham (a form of Indian classical music) so now I’m in the process of figuring out if I want to practice martial arts and violin again too - we shall see. :)

Update as of 9/7/24: I shaved my head! So this profile pic doesn't accurately show who I am h

  • Mano Balam (pronounced 'Ma-no Ba-lum') means 'Inner Strength' in Telugu (a language native to Southeastern India). The name of my private practice came to my Mom in a dream in October 2023 and the private practice came to fruition in May 2024. I originally didn't anticipate starting my own practice till I entered my 40s/50s but a negative experience from my previous work place pushed me to take the leap.

I hope that individuals who come across my page and/or choose to work with me are able to discover their inner strength and take the healthy risks needed to align with their true purpose and selves.
