FAQs

Start by scheduling a free 30 minute consultation first to see if we'd be a good fit! The consult is a space to ask questions and address any concerns you may have.
If we recognize we're a good fit, information needed to schedule an appointment will be provided. :) -
Sessions are typically 53-55 minutes!
I recommend scheduling weekly or every other week at the beginning so we can build a therapeutic relationship. However, you're always in control of when you want to schedule.
-
I offer sessions via a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform for individuals residing anywhere in Texas.
-

Individual Therapy:
Tier 1: $160-$180
Tier 2: $130-$150
Tier 3: $100-$120
I welcome you to reflect on your financial privilege and choose how much you're genuinely able to pay for therapy :)
$270 for 80 minute session.
**Superbills available for insurance reimbursement.
Additionally, I do not take insurance.
Here is a good article on the pros and cons of using insurance:
https://mentalhealthmatch.com/articles/therapy/pros-and-cons-of-using-insurance-to-pay-for-therapy*I also encourage you to be careful when going through tech companies because a lot of them try to steal and sell your Personal Health Information (PHI).
Examples of such companies include: Alma, Headway, BetterHelp, etc
-
I encourage clients to cancel appointments 24 hours in advance. However, I understand that life happens and we aren't given a notice; in these cases, let me know what you're experiencing and we can go from there.
There are situations in which I charge for no-shows & late cancellations; I will let you know during consultations and/or first sessions when these apply.
-
I do not provide crisis counseling services. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, you can call Integral Care’s 24/7 crisis line at 512-472-4357 or the national crisis lifeline at 9-8-8.
-
In compliance with the No Surprises Act that went into effect January 1, 2022, I am required to notify all healthcare consumers of your Federal rights and protections against “surprise billing”. Please message me for more information about the Good Faith Estimate (GFE) and/or if you want to request one.

I understand that I'm not a good fit for everyone and I hope you get the support you need!

About Neha Mambapoor
-
Founder of Mano Balam Mental Health, PLLC
Hi! I'm Neha, a 2nd Generation South Asian/Indian Womxn, a creative, and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. I earned my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Houston - Main Campus in May 2020 and have been providing therapy since August 2019. I have experience working in private practice settings and in supporting a diverse population of individuals as they navigate different challenges. My intention as a healer is to support client’s on their unique healing journey and in integrating their whole selves. I ultimately hope that the work we do together helps individuals come back to their bodies & trust themselves and others either again or for the first time - it’s hard out there without community and healthy relationships.
When I’m not providing therapy, I like to dance, read, practice Sangeetham (a form of Indian Classical Music), create, be a lil water bb (ie swim), spend time with family & friends, learn whatever is intriguing me at the time, and explore.

Mano Balam (pronounced 'Ma-no Ba-lum') means 'Inner Strength' in Telugu (a language native to Southeastern India). The name of my private practice came to my Mom in a dream in October 2023 and the private practice came to fruition in May 2024. I originally didn't anticipate starting my own practice till I entered my 40s/50s but a negative experience from my previous work place pushed me to take the leap.
I hope that individuals who come across my page and/or choose to work with me are able to discover their inner strength and take the actions needed to align with their evolving selves.
